What to expect when you reach out

How Our Network Works

Who You Talk To

When you reach out, you are not talking to a installer at first. Affectedseat Walk-In Tubs is a referral service. We take down a few details and route you to an independent provider in our network.

That provider is a separate local business. They do the work. They set the price. They stand behind their own work.

What the Provider May Ask

Expect simple questions. They help the provider see if your project is a good fit.

  • What kind of project are you thinking about, a walk-in tub or a tub-to-shower conversion?
  • Who will use the bathroom, and do they have trouble stepping or standing?
  • Is the bathroom upstairs, on the main floor, or near a basement?
  • Roughly how old is the home and the plumbing?
  • When would you like to get started?

No need to have perfect answers. "I am not sure" is fine.

Questions Worth Asking a Provider

Bring a short list. A good provider will be glad to answer.

  • Are you licensed and insured for this work here?
  • Can I have a written quote that lists materials and labor?
  • Will you check the floor, the drain, and the old pipes?
  • How long does a project like mine usually take?
  • What happens if you find a problem behind the wall?
  • Who handles permits, if my town needs one?
  • What does the warranty cover, and who offers it?

Write the answers down. Compare them if you talk to more than one provider.

You Stay in Charge

You decide if, when, and with whom. You can say no. You can ask for time. A provider can often help with paperwork that supports an insurance claim, but check your policy yourself, since coverage varies.
